This is the first tutorial on Cloud Computing where you are going to learn about Introduction To Cloud Computing.
Cloud Computing Definition
Cloud computing is the use of remote servers on the internet to store, manage and process data rather than local servers. It is a very popular service which is offering several advantages to IOT (Internet of Things) filed. Cloud computing is based on the concept which allows users to perform any computing related tasks using services which can be delivered entirely over the web. Cloud computing is an on-demand service which makes our software related works at ease.
Examples of Cloud Computing
Example 1: An employee has to finish a very important project to his team head on time, but has some memory and space constraints on his device. So, to solve this issue he can use cloud computing services. Using cloud services makes his work at ease as his data will be managed by the server.
Example 2: If we have problem with our mobile operating system. But we have some important photos to be restored without any problem. We can use Google photos to upload all our important photos without reinstalling the Operating System. This way Cloud computing services can help us.
Characteristics
The Cloud Computing is an on-demand self-service, meaning it’s there when you need it. You can access the cloud computing data with mobile, tabs and with any internet based resources. Cloud computing allows our information to be shared with anyone we know. You can exchange data over the web with anyone and anytime.
Cloud computing users can measure the service based on their needs. Using cloud computing, one can easily edit any software setups and also increase the storage space, storage, bandwidth, memory etc. The cloud computing of Internet of things is a measured service which means you will get what we pay for.
Service Models
Cloud computing consists of 3 different service models for providing services over the web:
- Software as a service (SaaS) - It provides rent-infrastructure for the software data and applications.
- Platform as a service (PaaS) - It provides on-demand services for testing, developing and managing software data and applications.
- Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) - It provides delivering of the software applications based on subscription.
